WINE DINNER – 3rd FEBRUARY 2012
Dear Valued Customers and Friends,
Happy New Year 2012 and Happy New Year of the Dragon to our Chinese friends.
Vichai and his team are pleased to be able to invite you all to the next wine dinner at Alois Restaurant on Friday February 3rd. Again this will take the form of a five course dinner accompanied by 6 fine wines. A wonderful opportunity to dine with friends, enjoy an excellent meal and taste some very interesting wines from around the world.
On this occasion we will be enjoying Norwegian Salmon, Tuna, Australian Beef, Blue Stilton Cheese Mousse, and finally Bavarian Blackberry Cream as a dessert.
For the wines; a Tyrrell’s premium Brut made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes will be the reception wine. An unoaked Chardonnay Reserve created from 95% Chardonnay and 5% Viognier exhibiting intense peach and lemon flavours will accompany the Marinated Norwegian Salmon course. A White Zinfandel (Silver Creek) a round and smooth wine to accompany the Mari Tuna Fish. Tyrrells Moore’s Creek Shiraz provides a rich and generous flavour for the main course. Chateau Rivirer (Minervois) will add fine aromas of ripe fruits and spices to complement the Cheese course; And a Moscato D’Asti (Valfieri) will end the evening with a very fruity, sweet and elegant finish with the Bavarian Blackberry Cream Dessert.
Make a note in your diary of the date and time and ensure you make your reservation soon to ensure your place as last time was fully booked soon after the announcement and many made their booking for “the next one” afterwards not knowing the date at that time.
The Wine Dinners have been proving very popular and we must take the reservations in strict order and we would respectfully ask that diners help us to improve our service to you by making prepayment for the dinner prior to the event and before January 30th. It was noted by a number of our guests that after a pleasant evening they were delayed having to wait in order to make payment along with the other 60 guests! We hope that by making pre-payment this will help change that problem.
Vichai and his team look forward to seeing you on Friday 3rd February at 7pm and hopefully before then for a regular meal.

Welcome to the Alois Restaurant and Wine Bar, Pattaya’s newest fine-dining venue, serving gourmet Western and Thai cuisine at affordable prices and destined to soon take its place among the best restaurants in town. Host Vichai Priyatrakulruji takes pleasure in inviting guests to partake of a memorable lunch or dinner in sedate surroundings that will enchant the palate and stimulate the taste buds, but not empty your wallet, being net only. Perfect also for family dining, functions and parties.
The RESTAURANT
The intention with the décor of the restaurant was to create an atmosphere of sedate elegance, reminiscent of the fine-dining venues of Europe, like those of the Carlton and the Ritz. The heavy gathered drapes at the windows, crisp white tablecloths, quality tableware and floral centrepieces, all conspire to invoke the ambiance of a more relaxed, bygone era that both Messrs Alois Fassbind and Bruno Forrer would have felt perfectly at home in. The restaurant has seating for 100 diners, with a select dining area towards the back, perfect for private functions, birthday parties etc. For the convenience of smokers, several tables and chairs have been placed alfresco, outdoors.
